Dr. Manouchehr Moshtagh Khorasani has a doctorate degree in English language from the University of Giessen Germany.  He also holds a dual Master degree in English language (area of concentration English linguistics) and business administration and a minor in Spanish from the same university.  He also studied at the UWM (USA) for his Bachelor degree and Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) during his Master degree studies. He has written seven books and published one hundred seventy nine print articles, lexicon entries, book contributions, auction house and exhibition catalogs and book reviews related to arms and armor from Iran in 42 print journals and magazines, including two in an encyclopedia and one article in a book. He contributed to the peer-review book History of Antique Arms: Researches 2014 edited by Dr. Denis Toichkin with the article "Persian Manuscripts on Cannon Making, Different Types of Ordnances, Rockets and Firearms" which was published by the Institute of History of Ukraine.  Together with the Iranian Studies expert Dr. Iván Szántó Dr. Khorasani wrote an article titled "Straight Swords in Iran: A Continuing Tradition (A perzs pallos: egy töretln hagyomány)" for the exhibition catalog Persian Treasures - Hungarian Collections (Perzsa Kincsk - Magyar Gyüjtemények) published in Budapest, Hungary in 2012. Dr. Khorasani also wrote an article titled "Persian Swordmakers (Armeiros Persas)" in the book Rites of Power: Oriental Arms (Rituais de Poder: Armas Orientais) that was published in Portugal in 2010. Dr. Khorasani also wrote two entries for the peer-review encyclopedia "Martial Arts of the World: An Encyclopedia of History and Innovation" on historical Iranian martial arts and belief systems. Dr. Khorasani cooperated in identifying and describing over 60 artifacts for the exhibition "The Power of Iranian Steel: From Iron to the Crucible and the Crucible Steel" that took place in the Cultural Institute of Museums in Tehran. He wrote the exhibition catalog for that event and also wrote another catalog on the works of the contemporary Iranian smith Mohammad Reza Farajian, the son of the late master swordsmith Ostad Haj Hosseyn Farajian. He also assisted in cataloguing four items for the auction house catalog of Bonhams & Butterfields. Dr. Khorasani has also written two book reviews. He also wrote an article in the peer-review book Āfarin Adib: Jašnnāme-ye Ostād Adib Borumand. Together with Dr Toichkin, Dr. Khorasani also wrote an article "Arms and armour of Hospitaller Knights vs the Ottoman Turkish Armada" in the peer-reviewed book "Besieged Malta 1565" which was published in Malta.  He also wrote an article on "Analysis of the Persian Shamshir" in the Deutsches Klingenmuseum conference on Sword and Thought in 2015.
